Description

Evidence for occupation during the medieval period was identified on the larger of the two sites comprising two phases of domestic dwellings, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries respectively. The lower courses of chalk and flint walls, floor layers, hearths, garden deposits and a refuse pit were all preserved at a depth of 1m below the modern High Street level (B1).
