Description

Evaluation trial trenching carried out by AS&C in April 2010 uncovered evidence for a quarry pit that was probably worked in the 19th century in order to exploit local deposits of Corellian Sandstone. The location of this quarry was visible as a shallow hollow prior to the commencement of fieldwork and a number of similar earthworks were observed in the field to the west of the development site (B1).
