Description

Evaluation trial trenching carried out in February 2010 by John Moore Heritage services in advance of construction of proposed new dwelling found a single small undated posthole 0.34m diameter and 0.15m deep with sloping sides and convex base and two parallel cultivation furrows aligned roughly E-W at the southern end of Trench 1. It is suggested that the site lay at the edge of the medieval fields and may only have been in arable cultivation for a short period. See report for detail (B1).
