Description

Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century mileplate on 'Pepperpot' Market Building in Church Square High Wycombe. Recorded as present in 2002 on Milestones Society survey website on Uxbridge to Stokenchurch route national ID number BU_LW29. On north side of unclassified road opposite Guildhall. Inscription incised in front: left: 'TO LONDON 29 MILES'; right: 'TO OXFORD 25 MILES'. [Detailed description, location and photograph] (B1).
