Aerial photos show two ranges of classrooms with a teacher's house attached on the east. The National Grid 1:10,000 OS map of 1984 shows the school on its new site in the former rectory gardens (B1).
The National School is a neat building in the vicinity of the church. In 1847, the late Mrs Shephard left £35 per annum for the support of it. Upwards of 100 children attend [1872](B2).
