Description

Geophysical survey carried out by Stratascan in January 2009 in advance of proposed redevelopment identified a concentration of anomalies at the west of Area 2 interpreted as small subrectangular ditched enclosures, some with possible internal features and associated pits and linear ditched boundaries, possibly field boundaries. There were slight traces of similar activity in Area 3. See report for detail (B1).
NGR to concentration of anomalies in Area 2.
Subsequent trial trenching carried out by AOC Archaeology in September and October 2009 failed to identify any archaeological features or finds (B2).
