Aylesbury United Football Club (The Ducks) were founded in 1897, becoming semi-professional in 1976. The club moved to a new football ground at Buckingham Road in the 1980s, but after the lease expired in 2006, the club has shared facilities at Chesham. The Buckingham Road stadium comprised the pitch with mainly standing only open-air and two small covered stands for spectators, a small grandstand, a small office complex, and the turnstiles which featured a huge fibreglass duck on the roof (B1).
