Description

Early 17th century timber-framed building described as having five bays built of timber and covered with tiles, consisting of 8 rooms; hall, kitchen, parlour, two chambers lofted over, and three chambers above. The timber house was taken down between 1634 and 1694, and replaced with a brick house, consisting of 6 bays. A range of out-buildings are also described. Architect John Sanderson is associted with 18th century works to the house.
The building was demolished on 11th February 1966 to make way for a car park (B2).
