Description

There is evidence of one medieval market at Iver. It was granted by charter and was to be held on a Wednesday. The charter was dated 6th March 1353, and was granted by King Edward III to the warden and canons of the King's chapel at Windsor. It was to be held at the manor.
Ther is evidence for two medieval markets at Iver. Both were granted by the same charter as the market, by King Edward III to the warden and canons of the king's chapel at Windsor, and were to be held at the manor. The first was to be held on the vigil and feast of St Peter and St Paul the Apostle, which fell on the 29th June, plus two days after. The second fair was to be held on the vigil and feast of St Peter's Chains, which fell on 1st August (B1)
