Description

There is evidence of one medieval market at Biddlesden. The market was granted by charter and was to be held on a Monday. The charter was dated 10th February 1314, and was granted by King Edward II to the abbess and convent of Biddlesden. The market was to be held at the manor.
There is evidence of one medieval market at Biddlesden. The fair was to be held on the vigil and feast of St Margaret, whose feast fell on the 20th July each year. The market was granted by King Edward the II to the abbess and convent of Biddlesden on 10th February 1314, and was to be held at the manor (B1)
