Description

Shovel test pit in Bull and Butcher beer garden, level of 19th century material (including CBM, slag, metalwork, bone, glass, slate and 179 post-medieval pottery sherds; also clay pipe throughout) indicates presence of domestic dump, probably associated with the public house or one of the neighbouring buildings (B1).
