Description

Evaluation trial trenching and subsequent excavation carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology prior to redevelopment of former school site for residential houses recorded a shallow E-W boundary ditch of the sixteenth century, 4m to the south of the current churchyard boundary. A large pit cutting the ditch contained part of the articulated skeleton of a calf (B4).
