Description

Set close to and parallel to the road. Two bays, single storey and attic, constructed of timber framing and wattle and daub infilling, and with a thatched roof, half hipped to the S end. Occupied by a local colourful character Fred Rush. The cottage consisted of a living room with the entrance approximately centrally placed at the rear, opening directly onto the stair. It had a narrow inner room. The position of the main fireplace is not recalled, but the inner room, latterly the kitchen, had a range. A rear access is usual here on Daisy Bank due to the difference of level, resulting from the eroding or cutting down of Daisy Hill (B1).
