Description

Geophysical survey carried out by Northants Archaeology in February 2008 in advance of proposed creation of a green burial ground identified a small number of anomalies interpretted as a cluster of 5 pits associated with 2 hearths or ovens adjacent to the stream in Area A, and a possible field boundary ditch aligned NW-SE and single pit in Area B. See report for detail (B1).

Possibly associated with Late Iron Age ditched enclosures, probably a farmstead, identified in field to west [CAS 09912].
