Description

Four features of archaeological interest were recorded in an excavation on West Wycombe Road. In the eastern area of the site there were 3 post-holes. One contained Roman pottery but another contained modern brick and mortar, but this might be intrusive. It is possible that these post-holes were Roman. A single circular feature was also found just to the south of the post-holes and was interpreted as a well. The pottery dated to the early 2nd century AD (B1).
