Description
Shown on the OS map (B1) and listed in Kelly's, (B2), page 74 (B2).
A major part of Aylesbury's 20th century industrial history, B&TR employed over 1000 people at its height in the 1950s - the town's largest employer at that time. The company now concentrates on rivet setting machines only and re-located to Stocklake Park in 2001, where it employs just 37 people (B6).
Because of its size and importance, the B&TR factory features in books featuring historic pictures of Aylesbury (B3-5).
Plate 84 shows an early B&TR advert (B5).
