Description

Dimensions - Length 180mm, Width 74mm, Height 52mm.
Early Iron Age iron axe ploughed up in centre of circular enclosure (B1).
Largest known example of looped socketed axe. Drooping blade & welded loop of channel cross-section; 'moulding' around mouth. Further description & discussion etc filed (B2).
