Description

A watching brief carried out by Phoenix Consulting in June and July 2006 during groundworks for 3 new houses identified the remains of a stone surface, a single course in depth , possibly a path or yard surface close to the street frontage. Fragments of late 15th century pottery were recovered from the bonding matrix. Unstratified residual finds of 12th to 17th century pottery suggest Medieval activity in the vicinity (B1).
