Description

A three bay oak framed barn from Skippings Farm, Chalfont St Peter. Sites on a high brick plinth, with elm feather edged boarding, roofed with peg tiles. Has an extra bay added to the north end as a stable (B1). It probbaly dates from the 18th century although much of the timber shows signs of reuse. The front wall originally had a protruding porch or wagon entrance. The lofted stable was a later addition to the three-bay barn (B2). Exact original location unknown.
