Description
John Moore Heritage Services undertook a watching brief for the Nash Lee water rising main. A north-south orientated ditch was seen as the pipeline cut through Horse Field. It was 1.4m wide and 0.8m deep. It was filled with grey chalky clay in the bottom 0.45m, which also contained some brick fragments. This was sealed with mid brown clay loam, 0.35m thick. It appeared to be of post-medieval date. Due to Health and Safety policy, this could not be recorded (B1)
