Description

The land used for the Officers Married Quarters and Mess belonged to the Bradenham Manor Estate and stood in a partial clearing between Yewtree Hill Plantation and Falconer's Hill Wood. In all, twenty-five Officer's houses were built, laid out to look like a housing estate in a typical English village. None were occupied by families during the war but became offices, single officer's quarters and WAAF accomodation (B1).
