Description

Main anti-aircraft battery in Aston Abbotts, north of The Abbey. Position derived from Czech military archive map (B12).

This area was assessed as part of the Aylesbury Vale Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18604). Unfortunately, there was no evidence of the described features on the aerial photographs available to the project, the earliest of which dates to 1947. These wartime defences would likely have been removed or levelled before this date (13).
