Description

5 HAND AXES AND 2 FLAKES FROM BRITWELL, DESCRIBED & SKETCHED, INCLUDING 1 AXE MADE ON A FLAKE. FOUND 1896-7 (B1,3). SURFACE LEVEL OF BOYN HILL TERRACE RANGES FROM UP TO C.58M AT E BURNHAM DOWN TO C.46M AT BRITWELL, ON ITS S MARGIN. EXACT LOCATION OF FINDS UNKNOWN, BUT PROB SMALL PITS IN THIS AREA AT END OF C19 (B2). NGR TO BRITWELL FARM (B4).
