Description

Queen Matilda holds Marlow. It answers for 15 hides. Land for 26 ploughs; in lordship 5 hides; 2 ploughs there. 35 villagers with 23 smallholders have 24 ploughs. 1 slave; 1 mill at 20s; meadow for 26 ploughs; woodland, 1,000 pigs; from 1 fishery 1,000 eels. Total value £25; when acquired £10; as much before 1066. Earl Algar held this manor (B1).
