Description

Robert [D'Oilly] holds Wycombe himself from his wife's holding. It answers for 10 hides. Land for 30 ploughs; in lordship 4 hides; 3 ploughs there. 40 villagers with 8 smallholders have 27 ploughs. 8 slaves and 4 boors; 6 mills at 75s a year; meadow for 3 ploughs, for the horses of the court, and for the villager's ploughs; woodland, 500 pigs. Total value £26; when acquired £10; before 1066 £12. Brictric held this manor from Queen Edith (B1).
