Description
A large circular cropmark ditch on 1954 RAF vertical aerial photograph, noted by Mark Ward and interpreted as a likely henge. The cropmark follows the line of a boundary hedge for part of its course. The site has now been built over and is under warehousing. Also shown on 1947 RAF vertical AP as a sharp line - possible watercourse? (B1).
Cropmark not visible on 1946 RAF low level vertical AP. Former mill bypass chanel with bank or levee to south, shown on 1st edition 25-inch OS map - cropmark possibly represents infilled chanel. Chanel not shown on 2-inch OS surveyor's drawings (B2).
