Description

Heavy anti-aicraft battery, 'Iver Brickyards SM1', recorded as part of CBA's Defence of Britain project. Site recorded from documentary evidence only (B1).
Site unlocated on historic mapping or aerial photos. NGR to Iver Court Brickworks.
The battery was armed with four 3-inch guns in 1940, but was listed as unarmed in 1942. In 1940 it was manned by 317 Battery of the 99th Royal Artillery Regiment. The site is now a water treatment works (B2).
