Description
Evaluation trial trenching carried out by John Moore Heritage Services in April 2006 identified the heavily truncated remains of 3 ditches, 1 pit, 3 stakeholes and 3 postholes. A few fragments of animal bone and a single sherd of probable Neolithic or late Bronze Age pottery was recovered from a ditch, pit and posthole fills. The lack of finds from other periods would support a late prehistoric date. See report for detail (B1).
NGR to Trench 2b.
