Initial (reconnaisance) survey carried out by David Radford of BCC in April 2005 identified 1 boundary bank, 1 filled-in saw pit, 1 trackway and traces of coppice. Woodland was mixed coniferous and deciduous. Features visible close to the railway cutting included a rutted linear track now overgrown with mature beech trees, a long rectangular trench aprox. 10m X 2m, and a double rectangular possible vehicle pit. These may be WWII features [see CAS ](B1).
