Description
Aylesbury Joint Isolation Hospital (later Aylesbury Isolation Hospital) (B1).
Hospital first shown on 1898-1900 OS 2nd Edition 25-inch map. Complex extended to the NE before c.1919-1925. Buildings still clearly visible on 1980s 1:10,000 OS maps, though presumably incorporated into Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1960s as not separately labelled on OS maps after 1970 (B3).
The Isolation Hospital opened in 1894, was enlarged in 1933 and became part of Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1951 (B4).
