Description

Gothic-style Baptist chapel opened 11th September 1930. For a year or two during WWII the church was used on weekdays by an evacuated London school. A prefabricated concrete church hall was added in 1948-50 to the rear of the church and extended in 1978-9. In September 1984 the old church building was demolished and a larger modern church constructed, opening on 5th May 1986 (B1).
One wall of original church retained within modern church building (B2).
