Description
Chesham Hospital, formerly Chesham Cottage Hospital (B1).
The Cottage Hospital was built in 1869 (B3).
Cottage hospital built in 1869 to designs by T Hayter Lewis. A prefabricated iron chapel was erected in 1871 to serve as an isolation hospital. The hospital was largely rebuilt by Kemp and How in 1923-4. Buildings report dated March 1992 held at NMR (B2).
Hospital closed in 2005. Main building (derelict) was badly damaged by fire in September 2010 and demolished in 2017.
