Description

Evaluation trial trenching carried out by TVAS in June 2005 found 5 undated shallow gullies and 2 large Romano-British ditches containing 2nd century pottery in trenches 1 and 4. Both ditches were aligned NW-SE and were approx 10m apart, measuring 2.15m wide and 0.97m deep with 3 fills (Feature 5), and 1.9m wide and 0.5m deep with a single fill (Feature 7).
