Description

4 SKELETONS DISCOVERED BY MR JOHN CURTIS ON TOP OF HOGSHAW HILL - 2 ON 1 SIDE OF SMALL STONE PIT, 2 ON THE OTHER. ALL WITH FEET TO E (B1).
NO HOGSHAW HILL MARKED ON OS MAPS. HOWEVER THERE ARE STONE PITS AT NGR AT PROMINENT HILL. BUT BRYANT SHOWS HOGSHAW HILL IN AREA MARKED CONDUIT HILL ON OS (B3).
A SITE VISIT BY MICHAEL FARLEY DISCOVERED EXTENSIVE PITS BETWEEN QUAINTON HILL AND SIMBER HILL. THERE IS NO SURFACE STONE APPARENT, ALTHOUGH THEY MUST BE STONE PITS, GRASSED OVER AND UP TO 5M DEEP (B5).
