An extractive pit of post medieval/modern date is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located at Willow Farm, Thornborough, and centred at SP 476153 233451. Pit is almost triangular 82x99m and is cut in to superficial geology of glaciofluvial gravels overlying Peterborough Mudstone.
