'Stone Pit' shown on Jeffery's county maps of Bucks (1766-68), on 1st edition 1-inch OS map (Surveyed 1835), Bryant's county map of Bucks (1825), 1st edition 6-inch OS map (Bucks sheet 33, surveyed 1880), 1st edition 25-inch OS map (Bucks sheet 33.1, surveyed 1880), on 1:10,000 OS map (surveyed 1971), and in Transactions of the Geological Survey of London (Filton, 1836)(B1).
