A post medieval gravel pit is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located on Buckingham Golf Club Course and centred at SP 67298 33612, an irregularly shaped gravel pit measures about 67 x 36 metres at its widest points and covers an area of about 1,531 square metres. The site is identified as an ‘old gravel pit’ on the 1881 dated 1st Edition OS map (2-4).
