A post-medieval lime kiln and marl pit is visible on historic aerial photographs and remote sensing data as earthworks and was mapped as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304). Located about 300 metres WSW of Abbey House and centred at SP 63612 39601 is a 245 metres long irregularly shaped marl pit with an area of 7,273 square metres. At its east end and centred at SP 63734 39579 is a circular lime kiln chimney about 3 metres wide. The lime kiln is not shown on the 1814 dated Ordnance Surveyor Drawing but is depicted on the 1884 dated 1st Edition OS map, so was possibly constructed between these dates. Visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946, the lime kiln has been demolished by 1973, though the extractive pit remains visible as an earthwork (2-7).
