An Anglo-Saxon cinerary urn and an extended burial were found in 1957 by R S Clark, while digging a cutting for silage. The skeletal remains were not associated with any objects, and the contents of the cremation urn were too fragmentary for any useful conclusions to be made. The remains are dated to the second half of the C6th. (B3).
The findspot was indicated to me by the farmer of Winchendon Hill, at SP 73521291 (B8).
