Description

The Archbishop [Lanfranc] holds Halton himself. It answers for 5 hides. Land for 7 ploughs; in lordship 2 1/2 hides; 2 ploughs there. 10 villagers with 15 smallholders have 5 ploughs. 1 mill at 15s; meadow for 2 ploughs; woodland, 100 pigs and 2s too. The total value is and always was £8. Earl Leofwin held this manor (B1).
