Evaluation trial trenching by Oxford Archaeology in January 2005 in advance of proposed barn conversion identified two undated earth floor surfaces, the lower probably associated with the construction of the barn possibly in the 17th or 18th century. No earlier features were identified and the barn appeared to have been constructed directly on the clay subsoil (B1).
