Description

The Count [of Mortain] holds Bledlow himself. It answers for 30 hides. Land for 18 ploughs; in lordship 16 hides; 4 ploughs there. 32 villagers with 3 smallholders have 14 ploughs. 8 slaves; 1 mill pays 24 loads of malt; woodland, 1000 pigs; from the returns of the woodland, enough ploughshares; meadow for 18 ploughs. Total value £22; when acquired £12; before 1066 £20. Edmer Ator, a thane of King Edward's, held this manor; he could sell (B1).
