Description

Evaluation trial trenching carried out by Archaeological Solutions in February 2003 revealed the remains of chalk-built wall foundations, probably for a cellar of medieval or post-medieval date (B1).
A subsequent watching brief carried out by Archaeological Solutions in August and September 2004 revealed further remains of a fragmentary chalk wall at a similar depth (1.20m) to those found during the evaluation. No datable finds were recovered (B2).
