Description

Brick building with two storeys on the road frontage and three storeys at the rear because of the sloping ground. Thought to have been the furniture factory of Goodchild Bros from 1924. 'The Cabinet Maker and Complete House Furnisher' of 27 October 1928 refers to additions at their factory. Metal arched windows. Brickwork painted white and building empty in 2004. The name 'R A Stone' can still be seen over the former shop at number 13; they were furnishing ironmongers. New building, called Wye River Business Centre has been built behind, on the site of part of the factory complex. Report and photographs (B1).
