  • WOOD WORKERS WORKSHOP (19th Century to Modern - 1880 AD to 1920 AD)

Description

Two storey small brick building with pitched roof which appears to have been recovered in corrugated asbestos or metal but retainig the clay ridge tiles. Has the appearance of a chair workshop from the late 19th century but history not researched as at 2004. Building has been modernised with addition of modern windows and a flat roof extension. Appears to be in use, probably in connection with the Post Office in Totteridge Road to the north since there is no access from Townfield Road. Now overwhelmed by Townfield House to west to which it abuts. Report and photograph (B1).
