Description

Air-raid shelter next to 8 Temple End (CASS 0848400000). Built into retaining bank and accessed from yard to south of 8 Temple End, now Temple Gate. Anecdotal evidence that it was intended for use by furniture factory at 8 Temple End as well as dwellings called Temple Villas, since demolished, which stood to east of new flats at Temple Gate. Concrete structure with wooden door. Structure not in use in 2004. Photograph showing its location (B1).
