Description

Three storey red brick and slate roofed former furniture factory used by Smith & Co. A sketch drawn by Lorna Cassidy in 1964 (at Wycombe Museum ) shows this building together with some timber workshops which have been demolished. There is a large archway at the western end of the building. Appearance of a 1920s factory with original metal framed windows. Adjoined at the western end by Jubilee Cottage with a date stone of 1897 and on the eastern end by a two storey brick building with a sloping roof, possibly 1950s. Present use is commercial but not ascertained (as at 2004) but the three buildings appear to be occupied together. Report and photographs in B1.
