Description

Double-fronted dwelling house with ground floor bays at front and date-stone 1897 over front door. Believed to have been first occupied by the Thompson family who operated a mineral water factory at the adjoining site. See MBC23717, PRN Cass number 0846500000 for factory at 14/16 Oakridge Road. Used by Greengate Furniture as an upholstery workshop but as at 2004 being used as an accountants' office. The adjoining house is East View and has a datestone of 1901, also owned by Greengate. Redevelopment of whole site is likely since Greengate Furniture is closing and wishes to sell the site as at late 2004 (anecdotal evidence from owner of Greengate). Report and photograph in B1.
