Description

Former furniture factory converted into offices and now part of the Valley Centre. Three storey, mixed yellow/red brick with slate roof. Appears to have new extension at northern end and the whole has recently been refurbished. As at 2004 occupied by Action Electronics. History not known but may have been the factory of F Keen & Co (The Cabinet Maker and Complete House Furnisher, 30 October 1926). Of a similar type to the Birch factory in Leigh Street, Jubilee Works in Jubilee Road and Goodearl's in West End Road so may date from 1890s or early 1900s. Record and photographs in B1.
