Description

Group of buildings on a site occupied by the furniture making firm of Hands since 1906 at 36 Dashwood Avenue. Pair of semi-detached houses, painted white, now used as offices, probably built around 1900. Information at Wycombe Museum that the factory was rebuilt after World War II. The two and three-storey factories at the western end appear to be 1950s. The three storey factory to the east looks earlier. Hands made chairs for the coronations of 1937 and 1953 and now specialise in office furniture. Report and photographs (B1). Grid ref, to centre of site.
